That's exactly why I quit playing it years ago but I got the ultimate edition cheap so I wanted to finish it. I had to save all the time the frame rate dropped after every 15-20 minutes of gameplay.

I finally got the platinum in Fallout: New Vegas after years of putting it off.

It will upscale the picture through the HDMI and the picture appears to look exactly the same as playing it through component cables. If there is a difference in visual quality I can't see it.

As far as luck based Nier involved a lot of it. If I remember right I spent a few hours just fishing to catch a certain fish.
