Chasing the Platinum sounds like some sort of drug and alcohol-fueled video game odyssey. I kinda want to play it!

That's easy. How many schools view anything below 70 as a failing grade? 69 or below was an F my entire school career, and that's the same for a lot of the East Coast. Game reviews are screwed right out of the gate because not only are the people reading the review taught to think any grade...

I love and still have my TG-16. The first game I played was probably some form of Pac-Man. I honestly don't remember. The first console I remember owning was an Atari 7800. Played the hell out of Pole Position II.

Xenogears is awesome. I think you're in for a treat. Ys is very fun, and Persona 4: Golden is excellent; probably the best of the bunch.

Like, half of the PSP's RPGs; such as the port of Venus & Braves, Tengai Makyou 4. Also anything Super Robot Taisen related. But then, I'm a pretty huge nerd.

Persona 4 Golden for me as well. I'm holding off on the Platinum until (hopefully) a Vita TV so my wife can watch all the cutscenes.

Argh. Freaking love FFXIV:ARR, and love even more to play it on a system which can really showcase it.

The core focus is still there - solve a mystery, have awesome boss fights, listen to equally awesome music. Ys III - V were made on the SNES, III was a side-scrolling action game (and the only one released in North America for the SNES) and IV and V were a little like Zelda with faster combat...

@Jacky Story time! I had no interest in survival horror games until I bought a copy of Resident Evil for my wife (then girlfriend), who has a huge love for zombie flicks. She couldn't play it by herself and made me go through it. Now I own just about every survival horror game across the PS1...

MP's always been a separate beast for me, so I'd like to see trophies remain separate and not count toward the Platinum. Tomb Raider's were horrendous, because MP was tacked on. I got them all but still need a handful from the main game.

Wild Arms 4, because seeing kids break down is apparently a fun pastime? The Siren games and the Fatal Frame series I would buy in a heartbeat.

About those MP trophies - get the ones that involve other people first and then just play games on your own for the level requirements. On the PS3 you could set up your own private MP matches and just; you know, play with yourself.

At $40? If you are an Ys fan, go for it. If not, then wait until around $25 or so. The game has a really good battle system and is fun to play. However, it's been 3 - 4 months since release so the price may start dropping soon. Might as well wait and save some cash.
