Kerbal Space Program is a multi-genre game where the players create their own space program.

In KSP, you must build a space-worthy craft, capable of flying its crew out into space, without killing them. At your disposal is a collection of parts, which must be assembled to create a functional ship. Each part has its own function and will affect the way a ship flies (or doesn't). So strap yourself in, and get ready to try some Rocket Science!

Main Features:
  • The Vehicle Assembly Building and the Space Plane Hangar allows players to build spacecraft out of any imaginable combination of parts.
  • Fully-fledged, Physics-based Flight Simulation ensures everything will fly (and crash) as it should.
  • Take your Kerbal crew out of the ship and do Extra Vehicular Activities
  • Fly out to Moons and other Planets
  • Procedural Terrain delivers detailed terrain at a vast scale. The Kerbal Planet is 600km in radius!
  • Mod-enabled, allows players to create new content and modify the game.
  • Ship systems. Keep an eye out for engine temperatures and fuel levels, and try not to explode.
  • Build ships with multiple stages, and jettison parts away as they burn out.
  • Build Space Stations, and surface bases on other worlds.
  • Full control over the staging sequence allows for complex ships and advanced functionality.
  • Research & Development: Advance the scientific knowledge of Kerbalkind as you progress towards conquering space.
  • Manage your crews.

Planned Features:
  • A Tycoon-Style Career Mode.
  • Take on Contracts to attract interest in your Space Program.
  • Hire astronauts, train them, and make them into heroes.
  • And a whole lot more!

KSP is still under development, so many things are not yet as they should be. We are working hard to be constantly improving the game however, and it will be regularly updated with bug fixes and new content, so make sure to check back for new versions. We are also always listening to feedback from the players, and we welcome ideas and suggestions.

Currently the game is an open sandbox. There are no objectives yet. You're free to build anything you can think of, and explore the Kerbal Solar System. A tycoon-style Career mode is in the works however.

The demo version is free to download and play, and will remain so forever. During development, the game is available for purchase at a discounted price, which we will gradually increase up to its final retail price as the game nears completion. So by ordering early, you get the game for a lot less, and you'll get all future updates for free. Please read this for more information.

Have Fun!

Yay for copy-paste! As a passionate fan of the sciences; Astronomy, Geology, and Physics, I am absolutely loving this game. I especially enjoy how it was developed in tandem with NASA. So we get remarkably close to reality physics in this game. I greatly enjoy building my own spacecraft and seeing whether or not I can get them to space. After many hours I finally got two ships in orbit around Kerbal last night! May seem dull and boring to some, but I felt a great sense of accomplishment from that. Just fantastic. Can't wait for my first lunar landing and exploration of the rest of the solar system!

Have you played KSP? Do you want to? Hate it? Love it? Tell all below and let us discuss!

I've played a few minutes of KSP and it was confusing as hell. Hahah. Thankfully, one of my friends showed me how to do some stuff, and it looked super fun but I haven't had time to go back to it since then.

I can't seem to take my mind off of it. The game has enthralled me. Ripped me off of Rust, Starbound, and even my PS4.

Yeah, it was one of the games that made me decide to peek my head back over to the PC side of things. So glad I did.

In case someone needs to see what 99% of your experience will be.

LOL at those creations!

Wish I could capture it, but I now have 10 successful ships (and one EVA suit astronaut) orbiting Kerbal. Well, two of those are orbiting the sun itself. In trying to get to the Mun I've somehow manage to create a huge orbit around the sun with two of my ships. I may have mastered leaving the ground and taking up orbit, but I have yet to get a wrangle on interplanetary travel.

Still can't seem to hit the Mun. I can have solar orbits, but no Mun landing yet. Frustrating. I think I've just unlocked some prime gear to do just that though. We shall see this eve if Kerbal reaches the Mun!

Update! I've orbited around and landed on the Mun! Fantastic scientific progress for Kerbals everywhere! I have also successfully crashed a ship into Minmus. Currently I have a science vessel in low orbit around Minums as well. Gathering up as much science as possible so I can press further into uncharted space. Don't think we have enough fuel to attempt a Minmus landing. May try to do so anyway tonight.

Also, I have acquired the materials necessary for aerospace travel. I've already flown one jet to a small island which, by some strange turn of luck, had an airstrip with hangars on it. I planted a flag and dubbed it the Kerbin International Airport. It sounds so boring BUT NOT A SECOND OF IT IS. Love this game!
