So far my PS3 backlog is bigger than everyone elses list across all platforms that they list. XD

Been making my way through the backlog, so needed to update. Unfortunately I think I added even more than I removed.
My backlog is like @Chandler Wood's trophy list. I just can't make myself write it.
That's what happens when you spend 170 hours going for a very worthwhile platinum.

Heh this is pretty much the truth of my backlog. I have so many games I haven't played yet. Maybe at some point I'll write it out, but there are a lot.
I recently started a Google doc, because I forget about games and DLC that I wanted to play.

Indeed, you get stuck trying to finish out the trophies of a few games while the games keep piling up. Makes for a lot of games to get through. Not that I'm really complaining, except on the games that have online trophies, but that's a different story.

Add the fact that I have a 360 and Xbox One. List of games just grows!!!
My wife just got a 3DS last month... now I actually have the ability to play Pokemon?? Dammit. Oh and Dream Drop Distance!
Oh yeah! I forgot about KH3D!!!
I now have even more motivation to buy 3DS games...

I haven't played a Pokemon title since GBA. Considering I have a 3DS I may have to look at some of the more recent releases in the series. What are the newest ones?
My last one that I played was Gold version. Most recent are X and Y.

And on top of that they're re-releasing Ruby and Sapphire (my personal favorites) using the XY engine later this year as Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. I'll admit though, I far prefer the 2D games over the 3D ones.
Best Buy has a BOGO deal going on right now for a few games, including X and Y.

Shitty part about that promo is that they are out of stock EVERYWHERE! I'm stopping in to BEst Buy every day this week to check it out, but when we tried to go for it a few days ago, they were already all out of stock at all stores within 200 miles of us.

Wasn't aware they were sold out. Have you tried price matching? Walmart and Target will generally price match a BOGO if you have a local ad.
